The Point to Point Education team
Our team is made of recruitment experts and former teachers who have taught all over the globe.
Director of Staffing
Hi, I’m Kate! I have many years experience working in Education Recruitment along with strong experience in Customer Service and a background in Staff Management. As a trained Primary Teacher with a love for travel, launching Point to Point Education was a natural progression. We love giving our teachers an experience of a lifetime and to provide such amazing teachers to our schools across England and Asia. I am based in our Brisbane office and I start my day with a good workout and a strong coffee! In my spare time like to read, cook and spend time outdoors.
Director of Business Development
Kia Ora, I am Carly and I am addicted to travel and adventure. Originally, I grew up on the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand and pursued a career in teaching. I always knew I wanted to become a teacher and was accepted into Wellington University at the age of 16 and had my first class by the time I was 19. My teaching career ignited a passion for travel, culture and adventure. During my four years teaching in England I travelled to so many places across Europe and then I went on to teach in an International School in Costa Rica. These experiences led me to meet the most amazing people and to discover places that hold very special memories. Nowadays, as the UK Education Director at Point to Point Education, I am lucky to be able to help other teachers realise their ‘teach and travel’ dreams and continue to discover new places in our world myself as once you get the travel bug… it never leaves you. In my spare time, I love to go to Bikram Yoga, walk my dog Harry and I take up any opportunity to go camping and be in the bush or on the coast.
Director of Operations
Hi, I’m Emma! Being a teacher with a passion for travelling, this is the perfect job for me, as we help other educators have the amazing experience of teaching and travelling overseas! Some of my travel highlights have been wine tasting in the Loire Valley, snowmobiling in Bulgaria and relaxing in Positano. When I’m not heading over to the UK to visit all of our teachers, I’m based in our Brisbane office and love playing netball (with fellow Pointers Kate and Chante), going to yoga, and getting into the great outdoors in sunny Queensland.
My name is Chante and I am the Compliance Officer based at the Point to Point Education Brisbane Office. My role allows me to dabble in my love of detail while working within a dynamic, cohesive team. The management team are approachable and extremely supportive which is so important being a working mum wearing many hats.
Education Recruitment Consultant
Hi, I’m Simon! I’ve worked in Education Recruitment for a couple of years, previously specialising in Special Education Needs. I love helping teachers find their ideal role in England, and know what it’s like to move halfway across the world having spent 3 wonderful years in Wellington! I’ve visited many countries, including Colombia, Papua New Guinea, Israel, South Korea and many in between! When I’m not busy matching Pointers with jobs in the UK, I love watching football, playing cricket (badly), binging on box sets and, most of all, spending time with my amazing young family!
I have spent the last 23 years in the Media and Publishing industry with my expertise predominantly specializing in Public Sector, with a specific focus on Education. I launched an Education Publication 6 years ago, where I discovered and worked directly with Point to Point Education. I found they were a breath of fresh air in their ethical approach to Teacher Recruitment and are a team of education recruitment experts where the sole focus is giving children a high-quality education by providing both teachers and Schools with a genuinely personalised service. This mantra is what inspired me to join the team & help them make a difference. I am a mum to 2 beautiful children who keep me on my toes & in my spare time (which I don’t have much of) I enjoy socializing with friends and reading real-life crime novels.
Education Resourcing Consultant
Hello! I’m Sonya and have been with Point to Point for 14 months. I grew up in beautiful Tassie, where my love of the outdoors and nature developed, and also my passion for teaching and education. I completed my Bachelor of Education (Primary), and from there, travelled and taught throughout Australia, including ACT, WA and VIC and also overseas. As well as a background in Education, I have also worked in the Travel and Tourism industry, Administration, Sales and Local Government. My other passion is of course travel (that’s why this job is perfect for me) and I have lived in both the UK and Japan…as well as travelled throughout Europe, Asia, parts of Africa and the US. I’m just about to realise one of my lifelong dreams and will be travelling to Cuba soon. I love being able to support and see teachers I work with fulfil their work and travel dreams, too!
Education Resourcing Consultant
After 15 years in the financial services industry including, most recently, owning and running a Financial Advisory business, I have sort of returned to my roots with Point to Point Education – coming from a family of educators, I really enjoy getting to know the teachers I deal with and take great pride in matching and placing them with a school that truly fits them professionally and personally. I live in Auckland with my fiancée, Liz, and in my spare time I participate in and watch, a wide range of sports; I am especially passionate about cricket and sit on the board of my local club.

Kia Ora, my name is Cherie and I am a world traveller, educator and love to be active in the outdoors. I am from Dunedin, New Zealand which is known for its University so of course, it is where I completed my qualification in Physical Education, hence my love of being active and then a Graduate Diploma in teaching. I have a love of travel and exploring the world I have been to UK, Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, the Pacific Islands and now I am in Brisbane, Australia where it is summer all year round. I do this job because I want to support teachers who are wanting to make the leap to travel and teach in the UK. I personally have found that travelling the world has broadened my perspective of other cultures and it is surprising how well you learn to adapt to situations you didn’t imagine you could.
