Flying to the UK: Are you exempt from Self-Isolation?

    • Flying to the UK: Are you exempt from Self-Isolation?

The travel corridors to England are changing regularly. It’s a good idea to sign up to the alerts so you know if you will need to quarantine on arrival. You can sign up to these alerts here.

At the moment, if you are travelling from New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica or Canada you do not need to quarantine for 14 days in England. For teachers travelling from the USA or South Africa, you do need to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. This means you need to find your own accommodation and stay there the whole time.

Here is the link to show the countries who are exempt from self-isolation.

If you are self-isolating you should reside in one place for the full 14 days, where you can have food and other necessities delivered. You must self-isolate at the address you provided on the public health passenger locator form. You will need to complete this form online before you arrive in the UK from any country.

      This can include:

          • your own home
          • staying with friends or family
          • a hotel or other temporary accommodation

You cannot go out to work or school or visit public areas. You should not go shopping. If you require help buying groceries, other shopping or picking up medication, you should ask friends or relatives or order a delivery.
